L-X's SSM AP1 from Germany - tons of subtle mods!
Thanks for the props.
I'm debating very hard currently whether or not to keep my mugen titanium exhaust.
The reason why I think about selling it is that I start to hate the droning.
I love the look as well as the quality build for sure but the noise is starting to cost me some serious nerves.
I do have my oem exhaust system laying here which I could paint black, mount it back and sell the mugen piece of art for pretty big $$$.
In my opinion, the oem exhaust would add alot more acustic elegance... dunno how to describe it exactly but I think you guys know what I mean. Plus, the huge effort on my stereo install (you guys may have realized my stereo-thread)
https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...&f=26&t=614570
would pay alot more without the disturbing exhaust noise...
I'm just not 100% sure whether I would miss it much or not...

Decision made.
The mugen exhaust will be collected this evening. Bye bye, baby.
I switched back to the OEM system after painting the piping with high heat resistant flat black.
I looooove the "sound" of the car.
No more droning, no more noise. Just sit, relax and listen to highend music.
I hated it to drive the car to work in the early morning and I started to hate on the noise while driving back at home in the evenings after a busy day.
I think, I will just stay with the oem system.

makes it less noise unless you floor it.

the mugen was a cat back.
engine - header - cat - mugen exhaust system.

No need to do it either. The mugen is sold.
Besides this, we're not allowed to remove the cat at all.
Here in Germany you are send to jail because of tax evasion if the cops realize it!

Update:
Yesterday, we did it again.
Due to the fact that I finally decided to install a subwoofer in the same way the rest of the ICE-installation was planned, (totally stealth, 99% OEM look, nothing to see at all but lots of dynamic music to hear), the setup had to be modified.
First, lemme show you a pic of the new battery installed.
This Powercell 2050 was painted flat black, the oem battery holder had to be modified in order to fit it.
I love that overall clean look.

Furthermore, we already installed the AINet Adapter from Alpine to be able to easily plug in the meassure-equipment of my installer without the need to put out the radio which is definitely a pain in the ass.

New look of the winter wheels Thx to madspeed for the inspiration, hope you don't mind.

Allright, here we go.
Removing the drivers seat

afterwards same with the panels

stripped:

ultra rare OEM JDM bling bling TAKATA harness, bitch

cable

wrapped in Snakeskin

done:

same for the woofer cable.

The twin of the already installed Genesis Profile four, sitting under the passengers seat, the Genesis Profile SUB

Until the final stage with a completely new built wooferbox, i use my testbox, I got for cheap from a fellow s2k driver.

The fuse hub underneath the dashboard had to be extended as well.

heat shrink tube...

absolutely invisible but easily reachable

The cables had to be pulled to the drivers side.. what a pain... gayfight

done

only the amp is missing:

woofer cable pulled to the trunk

One 12" pizza later:
As you might have realized in my thread the seat had to be modified in order to fit the amp underneath. Here's the secret routine...

Of course there's nothing unusal that could be realized when sitting on the modified seat.

alot better

Now we cut the carpet and fitted the amp

Pull out the cable and plug them in...

et voil
