Mid 70's BMW 2002 restoration project...

05 More bodywork
Normally I'm not a huge fan of excessive bodywork on a car, but I'm always up for removing extraneous door guards and bumper strips, etc.
Welded in a filler strip where the door guard was, now it's time to grind it all down smooth.
One of the headlights was rattling pretty badly, so I just took them both out. Gonna have to pull it all to paint anyway. Not sure why the license plate is still on, as there's no way I can drive it now. Eh, it'll probably be the last thing that comes off before paint.
Still trying to decide what kind of wheels to put on this beast.

06 Ready for paint
After a long day, I think she's ready to go into the paint booth. Rust is gone, bodywork is done, all trim has been pulled. Some of it has been sent to be refinished, others have been tossed, never to be seen again. It's funny, you can see the original color of the car under the trim pieces. I thought it was a baby blue, but it's more of a sky blue. Go figure.
Pulled the original engine, getting ready for the F20 swap, and now I can paint the engine bay too. That's why the car is sitting so high. I'll get her down on some coilovers when all is said and done.
Next step- PAINT!!!1!1
