My 2004 AP1
Regardless of what engine it has, it's still an ap2 if it is a MY04. The suspension was revised, the front, the rear, the lights, the center console, etc etc....the engine wasn't the only thing that classifies this car as an ap2.
But he has to look at the VIN
But he has to look at the VIN
Let's see the VIN
I knew in 06 they went with the 2.2 but was Japan still calling the car an AP1 in 04? I don't see why they would considering all S's are built in Japan but I could be wrong like someone mentioned above if they were still putting AP1 VIN's on the 04.

If it was the "better" motor then they would have switched a long time ago
IMHO the only reason they brought the F22C over here first was because the American market is a big fan of torque. We're used to our domestic V8's so the extra 10 ft/lbs of torque comes to most as a welcome addition.
But anyways I'll get back on topic... Very nice car man
I do like the red badges on Berlina.

Although this MY04 has a 2.0 engine, everything else such as the chassis and the interior is revised. Part of JDM thing.
I have heard ppl say that the 2.0 motor is a better one than the 2.2, which is why car tuners such as J's Racing revised their engine to 2.2 based on the F20C engine.
