mugen= actually functional for almost the same price...

how can you say not worth the money jdms2000 when the cwest kit adds zero functionality (probably actually takes funtionality away considering one hard corner on a track or back road would destroy the kit) to your car and it cost a whole lot of money?

I guess I misunderstood him...

I assume the OEM hardtop is fiberglass...All preprimed fiberglass I have seen always came primed in white or gray...I was not aware that they came already prepainted from Honda in black...

For all this defroster discussing...isn't it entirely possible to install an aftermarket defroster [to an aftermarket hardtop <== wow, that's kinda weird!]???

BTW, that Red S2K...simply stunning with the red top! Fab!!!

I can say whatever I want. In my opinion its not worth the money. If you have a problem with that than ohh well. I really dont care. We are not talking about the Cwest kit here buddy. I am not going to waste my time arguing with you over that.
And no they are not the same in price:

The Mugen one I am talking about is $5000 and the OEM(black) HT I can get for $2500 shipped. Thats half the price and is just as good if not better than the Mugen IMO. You cant convince me otherwise. Sorry. By the way I am not a Mugen fan at all and would not buy any of their products.

The OEM top is made out of aluminum and it does come pre-painted.

Don't forget the Mugen frp hardtop (MSRP of $2600 from King M/S plus cost of painting). Like I said, if u need a defroster then go w/the oem hardtop. IMO, the Mugen hardtop looks better. Just out of curiosity JDMs2000, why aren't u a big fan of Mugen? How's that VIS cf hood? My friend's thinking about getting it for his s2k.

Go here for more pics of the Mugen hardtops:
