Purge, now you get it. As far as discussion goes toward functionality, I believe that is only true with all the other Mugen SS2000 parts installed. Mugen parts are tested as a combination. The top might have negligible gains by itself (I could be wrong). Again, I state where does functionality come in on a car with 19" rims? Also, the FRP Mugen is not the same price really as OEM. $2600 plus paint and installation, I got my OEM from Jeff at Ganley for $2150 installed. Weight difference between Mugen FRP and OEM can you say almost zilch? I believe it is 5lbs? Now the CF might save you close to 15lbs, but at twice the price I can probably spend the extra $2500 on something else that will get me horses. Don't get me wrong, the Mugen CF Top is a work of art and I'd love to own one. But when you sit back and look at your life is that extra $2500 better spent somewhere else. If you're a car nut and love to modify this is the question you have to ask yourself.

Yes contact Jeff at Ganley Honda in Ohio he has absolutely the best pricing around and is one of the board sponsors. Still think you should go black but it's up to you.

Dan, doesn't that $2150 price include the $400-$500 discount Honda of America offered but now no longer available (Free storage rack & cover now I think)?

In my opinion..... I belive that it should have been painted in this way.... which gives a defined shape.. as Mugen have made it more aerodynamic...

I got the CF... and I feel that it would be a waist of $ if I painted it.. The texture looks intriguing.. as the sun reflects on it. I LOVE IT... a unique S2000

For more Info about the Mugen hard top... I have added some more pic on this thread...
