Here is the thread I was thinking of. As you can decipher from Greg Stevens post near the bottom. SS Wing is designed for the Hardtop. The 3pc Spoiler is very effective with the top down and only slightly improved with the hardtop.

Remember they got this information for Scot at King as well as their own personal trip to the Mugen Headquarters.

I never said you had personal issues turbo pwr, i know that you own the mugen wheels... im talking about other people who have made comments that were like "Sorry. By the way I am not a Mugen fan at all and would not buy any of their products. " and "mugen=not worth the money"
While the quality of construction is good with the oem top (so there is no issue here) mugen's other pieces are on a completley different level than some other body pieces... etc.. For instance I bought a vis carbon fiber hood for my old honda prelude and it was the biggest waste of 400-600 dollars i had ever spent in my entire life, poor construction quality, poor materials, poor fit, cheap fiberglass underneath, latch looked like it was made from a wire coat hanger and broke.. You get what you pay for!

I guess we beat this one to death. We both agree that sometimes you get what you pay for and that both hardtops serve a purpose.

Actually for me, I just love how the Mugen hardtop looks compared to the oem version.
