Default Pic Request: Underside of 02' soft top

Can someone with an 02' please take a picture of the underside of their soft top?
Especially that bar near the windshield that has the softop material covering it?

At the ends of this bar, it is blunt on the 02', while the 04+ have rounded edges.
Mine is starting to cut through the first layer of soft top material, because of this blunt end when the top is opened.

Thanks.

PS: I would take a pic myself but, I don't have access to a Sony laptop to get the pics out of the memorystick at the moment.

I need to verify if other 02s have the same blunt end on this bar.

Not sure, it is the bar infront of the driver, that picture looks like a rear bar.

Can you zoom out more?

Okay, can you take a close up of the circled area?
Under the edge of the roll that the soft top material covers is another "bar". Feel around or pull back the soft top material covering the main bar a bit and you will see this edge.

I think overtime the edge of the soft top material pulls back exposing the metal edge that will cut.

BTW: thanks a lot for this.

This is the edge responsible, keep an eye on this everyone.

Thanks again,

My solution is duct taping the roof where the edge is cutting in and taping the edge as well..

I just went and felt mine, didn't feel anything sharp persay, but the edge definately wasn't smooth. I am not sure if I was feeling the right spot because I am a douche hahaha but I did not see or feel any sort of puncture of even irritation of the soft top around this area.
My car is a 2000 btw

If the roll of the soft top material completely covers the edge then no worries. Check bothe ends though, my passenger side is fully covered while my driver side is slightly exposed which leads to the cutting.
