And you shall. I'm still rolling around with it because I like the look, but when I do peel it off (probably after the summer but not sure) I will post a video for you. However, it does not change from the sun other than making it even easier to peel. In the winter however, it would probably be a lot more brittle, and tear/break easier than you want. As a matter of fact, when I decide to peel it off, I will park it in the sun for a few hours so that it can soften and peel off in one solid sheet. I will then use the material to make a watermelon slingshot to throw at other roadsters.

Go look at your door handle carefully. You will see that the part that lifts is a separate piece, and thus, will be coated all on its own without any tearing or stretching.

Well I spoke with Brandon at dipyourcar.cm earlier about where my order was, and apparently they are switching to a heavier duty paint gun and I get my order upgraded at no cost. They have excellent customer service and I am looking forward to getting all my dip in so I can get my car done.

is this custom order or something? link me anyone pls?!
Go to dipyourcar.com
thx man. i wonder if u can order custom color like brown or something?

Yes you can. You can either order a tinting kit and mix your own, or send them a sample/photo of the color you want and they will mix it for you.

that's good to know, thx. do all plasti dip come out matte? or is there gloss finish?

btw, the matte red looks soooo sweet on ur car, it be great if u can share more up close shots.

can you post some close up pics of the hood and trunk? when I walked by it at the dragon it looked very textured, I didn't stop to look at it up close tho. I have had 2 friends do their whole car and ended up peeling it all off the same day because they could not get the hood and trunk to look even and smooth. Please take a few shots at different angles if possible. thanks

I have been wanting to do this for a while now, and have seen some at some shows earlier last month, and what turned me off from it at the moment was this one guy who did his civic, his hood, top of the car and his trunk looked awful, for some reason those areas seem to give ppl the hardest time to do. I had vinyled my hood and trunk last year, after seen some of the dipped cars, I may just finish wrapping it in vinyl instead.

My hood and trunk was not done well. Read all my posts in this thread which explains why. The mirror is what it is SUPPOSED to look like when done properly with good conditions. The hood/trunk was overly textured because it was too cold outside and the dip was drying way too fast. Also, most people try to cover the hood and trunk too fast. It just takes practice and patience. You need to put on very fine misty coats for a perfect finish. I was new with the gun and sprayed WAAAY too fast which is what caused the texture. I will re-spray the car again, which will come out a lot better, and I will post a how to as well.

BTW, the interesting thing is all the panels vertical (doors, fenders, etc) came out nicely and those that are horizontal (hood, trunk) came out textured. This makes me think that it was also the way I was holding the gun as well as the direction I was spraying. I was also afraid of the gun cord touching the wet panel so I help the gun WAY too high and sprayed from way too far away.

For those who plasti-dipped the whole car.. I suppose you won't wax/clay right? Don't plan on doing this but just wondering how you would wash the car with it.
