I wonder if you could squeeze a 2.8L stroker kit in the S. That would be....... I have a stroker kit in my car because I was scared of the kits that were out at the time. I heard too many stories of blown motors.
The GT3 has 385hp and the 996 turbo has 420hp (at the crank) All my friends that take their cars to the track say the acceleration of the GT3 is pretty much neck to neck off the line........Until boost hits on the turbo. N/A hp is right now power while I feel the lag associated with FI gives it a bit of a disadvantage. Of course you can always get WAY more power out of a FI set up. Although with similar hp/tq figures I would definately prefer N/A less maintenance more streetability.

I know what you are talking about. I don't think the rear end would be in danger if you drove your car responsibly though. Now if you (not you in particualr), are an idiot and you like to drag race a car that wasn't built for it, then you will have problems.

It comes down to how much power is "usable" in a car. In the S2000, I believe that around 400hp at the wheels is the most power that is usable. Anymore, and the car will be uncontrolable on a track. Unless it's a circle track like Nascar.
