LOVE the engine bay...a DIY would be amazing but i think the skills required are out of my reach.

But would be a little concerned on how the weigh distribution effects it.

Would be nice if we could get some temp. readings

air goes in and air needs to go out....this is how OP is thinking and i like it.
Exhaust heat will have veryy little effect on this if done correctly.
