I can't believe this is getting so many positive comments, even some calling it a great "racing mod"

Did you know that a radiator relies on outside air (not fans) for cooling at speeds above 30 mph or so? So now not only you angled the radiator (which slows down airflow and therefore heat dissipation considerably) but you also tucked it behind a solid wall of metal where it'll get ZERO direct airflow at speeds? Not to mention the much smaller openings covered by a very tight mesh and the much slower water flow from longer pipe runs.

You won't need to track your car to overheat it - you'll do that just fine driving to the shows. But hey, at least it'll look cool when (if) you get there. The hella-flush of cooling systems

I dont know if i replied here before but it definately is a sick mod. Does it perform better? I dont know.

Once I saw this kind of setup in a FormulaD/D1 Impreza, which also had the radiator in the back (trunk) but it had openings in the rear window and then like pipes/hoses/air tunners (sorry forgot the name) that would channel air to it. The hot air would come from the back. That was a sick mod.

what about the AC condenser? it has nothing to do with the radiator.
Except that its mounted infront of the radiator and appears to absent from the engine bay along with the lines to the fire wall.

OP: Are you planning on keeping the AC system and if so, how?

i dont think this is a love\hate debate, but more of a topic of logic. I dont understand how this benefits the car but on the other hand it was a very nicely done job.

How does air come into the radiators? Did you cut out in front of the radiators too?

What does the trunk area look and feel like now?

Weight distribution would be interesting.

As for benefits, guys, let's not forget atht eh biggest roadblock to making an effective cold air intake in the fact that the radiator is right in the way and very difficult to get around. Now one can fabricate a wonderful cold air intake box in the nose of the car and not worry about the risk of hydro-lock.

ok,

Before this I had a 87 turbo supra, with no AC.
After I had a 92 subaru SVX, with no AC.
So I could care less about AC. ha PLUS the tops comes off.

FREG, The large tool box is just a stainless steel box. There is one on in the other bay of the shop as well. I am not quite sure about the small blue tool box. All the cabinet were made in the other side of the shop, which is the wood working area. And all the blue is a type of ply wood with a thin blue aluminum covering sheet.

Legal Bill, I will try to take some pictures later today of the front of the radiator to show you. I will take some of the trunks as well.

Also about the weight distribution, I plan on getting it weight on all four corners when I get closer to finishing up things. The engine bay will have a little bit more stuff in it and I would rather just do it once and see the end results.

SCOTT.. GET ANOTHER ONE! that civic dosnt fit you. haha

and for all those who ask "why". WHY NOT. If it does the exact same thing that the one does in the front it will fit my needs. If it does better....great. If it does worse. Ill make it better!

and all others. thanks for the compliments.
