I don't know what it is. After seeing your vinyl pictures (pretty cool) I don't know that I like it stopping on the hood either. Then I thought perhaps it should go down to the air intake, but not on the bottom of the bumper. That might work but I think there's still something about it that doesn't feel right. So I looked at the Cobra.

Perhaps it's that you have dark stripes on a light car and they're meeting up with a big dark area on the front. The whole intake section distorts the look of the stripes for me, where on the Cobra the intake is more a part of the car rather than the stripes and the stripes are just being inturrupted for a small space.

I think that line of thought is accentuated when I realize that I like the rear bumper much better with the stripes going all the way down (oh la la!) as opposed to stopping on the trunk. The contrast of the license place is merely an interruption in the stripes, not an addition to. And looking at the Cobra I also do not like the big circle on the hood (I know its purpose, but I don't like it) because it distorts the stripes, not inturrupts them.

None-the-less, drop an OEM hardtop on and paint it to match and I'll want to be you (:
Just for comparison, I found this one on the internet. I know what you mean by the flow of the lines and the grill opening. I think it works out ok though. You know, yellow was never really my color, but when I saw the S and all the sparkle that came with it, I knew I had to have it.

Yup, it's the dark on light. I'm going to play with your car in Photoshop. See what I can come up with (:

I think it looks ok. The stripe kind of gets lost in the grill area though. I was trying to imagine how it would look with a Grill Tech race style grill, black powder coated and painted Reo, to follow the pattern of the yellow.

Glad to see you did what you wanted to do without falling to peer pressure. There's soooo many people always asking what color to get, or what rims to buy. Its refreshing to say the least.

I like the concept, but the colors throw me off.
But I was never a fan of yellow cars to start with, so that distorts my view.
Have fun!

Not bad;if you go to a meet you'll definitley stand out from the crowd. Good effort. As far as the black top would go I would steer clear of that,if it were mine. Instead think about yellow inserts in the seats and door panels to finish the theme and maybe a wheel combo with black centers and a polished lip.

Dare to be different

Thanks Tim. Alot of people mentioned that it looks better in person and that they were uncertain with the pics. I know I'll get alot of reviews for the Dragon this year. Now I won't be lost in the sea of yellows like last year
