those shiftknobs are countersunk, that is why they sit lower.
If you're confused about the "Countersunk" term, it just basically means that the threads in the knob go all the way to the top so that when it is screwed down, the overall height is shortened.
my vote for the ARC ti (skinny version not the round version, like the one in the pic). also it looks like the NSX zanardi eidtion or the NSX-R shift knob

Having owned the GReddy unit on a previous car, I can tell you they're basically the same thing with different stickers Good luck with your decision.
