Shifter Knob
As a new S2000 owner, and fanatic do-it-yourselfer, i immediately decided the gearshift knob needed to be changed out. I realize the ricers view the S2000 gearshift knob with awe, but I think it's ugly, slippery, not very ergonomic, and cold to the touch. BTW I'm speaking of the 00-01 all-metal knobs, not the newer knobs with the leather wrap, which is a great improvement.
My previous car was an RSX Type S, and I realized that shifter would probably look pretty good in place of my stock shifter. If you look at the photos you'll see the shifter knob and a plastic ring below. The ring only comes with part of the center console which has the shifter boot, and I happened to have a new one I never used. So I went to acuraautomotiveparts.org and ordered up a shifter in ebony (black to the rest of us) for $24 plus shipping. I received it the next day - these guys are great!
Below are some pics. I noticed that the silver (titanium I believe the call it) almost exactly matches the S2000's pieces that color. It fit perfectly, almost like it was made for it. And it greatly improves my shifting pleasure!
