Great work!

Would you mind grabbing some pictures of just the bracket?

You said there was no modification necessary to the HT but it looks as though the bracket would be screwed into both the secondary piece and the main HT, correct?

Is it just a thin piece of steel? Details would be awesome!

I'll take some new better photos of the hinge this weekend when I make the 2nd revision.

The hinge could be screwed in if you wanted, but I decided to use 3m double sided autobody adhesive tape. It is not steel, it is a plastic/rubber. Very low tech and effective.

Love the Spoon HT but can you post more pics showing how you made the hinge.

The hardtop is off having a headliner made, whenever it gets back i'll be happy to post up some pics of the hinge.

Great idea.. I always thought of some way of making a hinge for the thing but didn't have the top to put it into practice...

thought of making a custom larger bunch of lever type hinge where it is attach to the boot and raises while stays parallel and folds up over the main roof... may be more complex but will be sturdy as and look pretty cool when you open the boot!!
