nice write-up greg. car has come a looonngg way since you bought it.

any of you guys that are planning on going FI keep an eye on this thread. Greg is an excellent fabricator and will be coming out with some s2k parts over time
Thanks everyone, I appreciate the positive feedback. Thanks Casey, as soon as I get the car itself back together and the bay cleaned then the testing and fab work will begin

I did get to go do some work this morning. I needed to get the actual soft top "cage" and motor assembly out the car. IT was a little nerver racking as I was doing it solo and did not want to scratch the car. Luckily I ate my Weaties (or waffles) this morning. I was able to unbolt everything, make sure it was all clear and no snags to get hung on...grab and lift over my head to be sure not to scrape the car as I stepped out.

I'm now debating on the headlights. The LF headlight was rigged up w/ some drywall screws as some of the tabs were broken off when I bought it. I could use a series of bolts/washers to hold it back in place, or look for a replacement.

pics to come

Good work so far! Im in for updates as well.

What did you use to cleanup the headlights? Mine are all hazed over as well and I have tried the Maguires Plastic polish and it doesn't work well for me.

im going to sand mine down with 1000 grit on a da and clear them at work that seems to be the longest lasting way, the polishes just kinda make it go away and it just comes back.
