I just got off the phone with customer relations and I was told that I was the first person to call and complain about this issue. I figured since this seems like a MY00-02 issue and there have been people stating that they have had their tops replaced problem free from the dealership that something must have been mentioned before hand.

Any chance we could sticky this for the time being, just until we get a result? It needs to stay on the front page if it's going to be a priority.

my tear was at the frame latches on the passenger side, and i've seen a few others like this as well. I know this is not the same tear as the pics but after a bit of reasearch it did also seem like a design issue involving the elastic bands wearing to cause the latch to punch through the top. I've already taken care of it through honda after 2 months and a split cost decision. this was at approx. 48k miles and out of warranty.
