Stretched tires
This subject has come up on another board I frequent and I'm curious to see what the S2000 community thinks about it and what kind of stretch S2000 people are running on their cars.
Personally, I think it's OK to a point. I'm running a 275 tire on a 10.5" rim. To me, that's stretched. Apparently in the current world of stretched tires, mine aren't stretched enough to even count.
Here're a few pictures of mine:

My general rule of thumb is that if the built in rim protector of the tire sits inside the actual rim it was desinged to protect, it looks stupid (I'm probably going to offend someone with that statement). Anyway, let's see what you have.

I guess I need someone to explain to me the value in doing this.

The reason for tire stretch is easy: space. If you want to run really aggressive width's and offsets, you need to stratch your tire to get the most clearance you can. Getting those sidewalls to angle so extremely helps get clearance to the fenders. Personally, I have run 205/40-18 on an 8" wide wheel, and 225/40-18 on a 9" wide wheel. All within the limits of the manufacturers suggestion.

few reasons why people do these... getting the actually size for tires might be really expensive.. Lets say 17x12 wheels, tire will be like 345... Know how much that would be? Also, the tire might not fit under the car, so stretching a small size tire will work better that won't rub.
This isn't my work though, it was posted by a friend of mine... Heres a video of the process...
