Stretched tires
It's always amazing to hear people criticize other people while their own personal car sits in stock trim and there talking about performance mods.
Who cares if people wanna run stretched tires, so be it. Is it something i would do....... no! But do i waste my time throughout my day feeling angered by the simple fact that someone wants their car to look clean and personalized according to their own standards? NO! Certainly not....We're all adults right? This thread isn't worthless, it's the non constrcutive critcism within it that makes it a shitty .....worthless.......thread.
PS. the world would be a boring place if we all had and did the same things as eachother everyday!

I've yet to see the cry babies or angry people in this thread?
If your style or fad was hated on or disliked and a negative opinion was given, that makes those people boring and "not of out the box" thinkers?
Just speaking for myself, I'm probably thinking outside the box more than anyone in this thread, my car is being worked on right now to run low offset wide wheels (+45 or less, 9"+ wide) with dare I say, fat meaty tires. Now that's some scary original sh!t!!! I hope I don't get any negative opinions on a public forum.

the big problem is, we all bought our cars for different reasons. it is that one, underlining difference that ends up guiding what we feel is the direction we want to personalize our cars. some buy for looks, some buy for performance...

the fastest car at Tsukuba only runs a 265 on 10" wide wheel
....as long as there enough tire for traction....the wheel doesnt matter...thats just for looks

Five pages and not one mention of main performance aspect of "stretching" a slightly narrower tire on a wider wheel.
"MADE in JAPAN" eluded to it but no one picked up on it. Some racecars and most all "drift cars do this to counteract tire rollover which affects cornering perfomance of the car. Not all tires had/have the stiffest sidewall so this was one solution. As long as the tire size was in an acceptable range in relation to the wheel width there are almost no drawbacks.
IMO, this is why the "import scene" is absolute garbage! So many folks out there doing thing for "looks" and don't understand the real performance aspect.
Then you have the by-product which is those who bash/"hate" and think everyone does this just for looks.

edit...........
cry babies
Really?? In this thread? I think it's the same story and time and time again people who talk about the most extensive performance mods that pretend their S2 is a race car because they drive it 8/10ths fast on a back road??????
Now thats out of the box thinking right there!!!!! oh the humor! Been there done that with fat tires and low non staggered off-sets and during that time i could care less that "rijo" was adding fat lips with thin tires to "his whip."
