Wow, awesome project, I've been waiting for somebody to do an LS swap. That thing is going to be mean.
As everyone else mentioned though, you should probably weld in a new crossmember in front of the engine, or you might lose the S2K's great rigidity.
As far as the weight goes, an extra 100lbs (if that) at the front of the car isn't going to completely destroy its handling characteristics. As the OP mentioned, you can always offset it by getting a fuel cell, relocating the battery, etc. It's the price you pay for power and torque... at least this makes a hell of a lot more sense than the 2JZ swap.
I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this thread. And when it's finished, we want video, lots and lots of video
