video of my wreck
yea, you definitely had a panic moment when that happened and you got lucky.
There was zero driver skill in that. You were snatching the wheel the same way a 16 year old girl would in the same scenario.
I'm all for spirited driving on a back road, but you have to know your limits.

All I got to say is that the ones that are criticizing will probably have a wreck in the next 2 years, and what then? Are you sin free then? It happens to everyone driving slow, driving fast. Hydroplane, OH GOD YOU CAN'T STEER RIGHT TO CORRECT IT, YOU SHOULDN'T OWN AN S2000!!!
People can own and drive how they want, if you think some little kid is going to get hit on the street, their parents didn't teach them to look both ways before crossing, because in the country its rare to see people in the road, they only go in the road if they need to get to the other side, which more than likely that property is owned by someone else so there is no need. Kids have a large backyard you'd be jealous of in the country, and it comes dirt cheap.
Stuff happens, leave the hating on the idiots who drive drunk, you can criticize almost anyone on the road, because I avoid wrecks all the time like yesterday I had to swerve to avoid getting t-boned by a ricer f-150 that didn't have the right of way. OP is a better driver than average, so that's all that matters to me and warrants no hate.
After reading all the posts in this thread, the opinions presented are polarized. But when I was reading page one I was like "damn, people need to get off their high horse." Shit. Happens.
The OP posted the video so that people on here can learn from his mistake. He knows he made a mistake and he doesn't need anyone to tell him that.
Geez, some people act like they've never messed up anything in their entire life.

I still would be in favor of a mandatory performance driving day as part of getting a drivers licence for everyone.

not trying to be a dick but i think you need a little more practice. It just looks like you got lucky it wasn't worst. You still lost control, spun all the way around, and ended up in the bushes. You can see a branch right behind you at the end. Glad to see you and nobody else got hurt, but don't brag about autocross training when you have a video of yourself crashing a car. A good driver would have corrected the car and came out in the right direction.

Nice save!
I woulda been shitin my pants
