had a similiar accident like that about 2 yrs ago on a back road.. shortly after, I learned how to drive my S like a granny for a few weeks.. However, I would like to re-create the experience on a closed course of course so I can learn how to correct it and make it out w/o going off the rd or spinning out..

No wait, he does.
but, Ken Block sucks... so, that's not saying much.

Looks like seeing the other car caught ya off guard and you reacted a little... shall we say, abruptly
Least you didn't do anything terribly serious

thanks for posting, not many can admit their faults, let alone show others willingly

I say you got balls of steel for entering a UPHILL corner going 60 mph. You were relying on luck that nothing is over that crest... Guess you weren't lucky that day.

What possesses people to come on here and tell the guy he shouldn't be driving like that on a public road? Do you think writing long paragraphs will get people to stop and think "Hey i shouldn't be going this fast because the guy on s2ki said it isn't safe"

This is a forum, Nothing anyone says on here hurts my feelings nor do I really care.

although glad I could share the video to display the risk involved in "spirited driving".

flame away if it allows you to sleep better at night

I love how people are criticizing him for driving like that and wrecking but when they watch a video of someone going up the dragon at WOT they praise and admire them. I don't know how you define "spirited" driving, but even spirited driving up a canyon is still too fast. Instead of just cars and poles, you now have bikers, joggers, blind corners, cliffs, people walking their dogs on the side of the road, people just walking across the road carrying picnic supplies with their families, camp grounds, deer, etc, etc, etc. Last time I checked, canyons are public roads too. I know you wouldn't go on a "spirited" drive through neighborhoods or school zones. In fact, they might even be safer because you actually expect a kid to be crossing the street at a crosswalk but when the hell do you expect a deer to jump out of the bushes?

A good driver would have corrected the car and came out in the right direction.
