Interesting, thanks for the heads up. I'll try and shave down another 1/4 inch all the way down. Although, i was shaking the exhaust, and it didnt seem to move much at all, but I suppose going over bumps and such will have a drastic effect on how much the exhaust shakes.
Just shave around the area of where the fin piece is located, everywhere else is fine. You'd wouldn't want to damage that pretty muffler now, do you?

While shaking the muffler when the engine is off compared to when it's running and warming up are all quite different. After awhile, you'd find quite significant vibrations from the exhaust system. It's a common characteristic of the Amuse exhausts. So contact will occur.

Most of the damage you'd find will incur on the fins and the flat floor when going through uneven road surfaces. After awhile, you'd know where to do patch/repair work. Approximately 6 layers of 3M tape is good and relevantly thicker than the carbon. You'd also be picking up alot of rocks, debris and tyre compound from driving inside the diffuser panel. Remove it once every 3 months or so and clear it out. Otherwise it'd stick to itself inside the diffuser.
