Honestly if this happened to me, and I don't like to admit it, but I'd probably key the shit out of the other guys car. Possibly deflate the tires. The chances of them paying are slim. Cases like this reinforce why I will whenever possible park in a spot that has a concrete curb around either the front or the back so people can only park on the sides. Even then I park as far away as possible. Ideally its a corner spot.

Best of luck.

well... these are all valid ideas... i was honestly thinking about taking the plate.. the DMV is a real bitch to work with and if he has to request new plates and tabs.. hes gonna have to pay one way or another... he looked like he was possibly a doctor.. so the time hes gonna waste doing all that ish is prob the same ammount as me getting my bumper painted to his wallet..also i have a schrader valve remover...all 4 tires MAY go flat in one day... how odd would that be?! but in the end these are all things that will just waste his time as hes done to me.. since i really dont wanna jack the guys ride all up..not my style.

to be honest with you guys i was pushing for the bumper re-paint cause it needs color matched.. doesnt match exactly.. but if i can just buff it out i will.. im not gonna mess with paying my deductible and then having my insurance cover like 200 bucks.. rediculous...

so yeah.. in the end it now takes me a good 7 minutes to walk to work since im now parking at the roof of a parking garage thats a good distance from my building.. this way only ONE person can park next to me since im by a huge cement planter and i can walk out of my office and see the car.. hopefully the new alarm im getting (with the tax return) will reach to my office. that would be sweet.
any good storys on the new viper like 2 mile alarm..?

thanks again guys.

It looks more like a paint job than anything...that's if it wouldn't buff out. $300 is more like it.

Good luck! Hope you get your car back in order.

Call the cops. hit and run. explain that you didnt want to get them involved at first because you work with the guy, and you feared for your saftey aswell as your possesssions saftey. say you left a note, took photos, Then you had to ask the guy what he was going to do about it, Basically he told you to Fruck off. at this point you dedciced to involve the cops. file it as a hit and run. it was he hit you and didnt leave a note etc. let him get arressted for it, get criminal charges brought up, his insurance will go up.....psh oh well he did it.

please dude get a backbone. and save possibly another s2 in the process or heck anyother car.

You know guy.. i appreciate you giving your input.. but do not for one second think you can sit and insult me about how i am handling MY business... if the $hit happens to you then you can murder his dog and cut off his hair and light it on fire or whatever you wanna do... i asked for input not insults...

ONE MORE THING. There is no one on this earth that loves their s2000 as much as i love mine. in fact just today i have checked on it 5 times.. its my baby and i dont wanna see it get hurt. BUT it is just a material possestion...and it will get frucked with weather i want it to or not.. i cant always watch it.. so there.

The backbone line definitely went too far...

But seriously, you should call your insurance adjuster or the cops, and report a hit-and-run. It just takes one simple phone call, and you already have the proof in pictures, so you know the culprit will be caught. Without a culprit, you would have to pay your deductible, but with the plate number, it will be on this dudes insurance. Buddy had the balls to blatantly deny that he hit your car, and then back-pedaled and refused to pay when you showed him proof. With one simple call, you can have your bumper repaired and repainted, and your worries lifted. Meanwhile, this douche will have the joy of paying his deductible to get your car fixed, having his insurance premiums go up, and possibly facing a criminal charge of hit-and-run. Remember, is was this dude's fault... not yours! It's time you let him sweat!!

Granted, I shouldn't be telling you what or whatnot to do, but situations like this are why insurance companies have their policies on who pays the deductible, and why hit-and-run laws were created. This is one time where the insurance company and the law are on your side, and trying to help you out... please take advantage of that opportunity.

That's what I would do anyways.

Good Luck

edit: also, don't f@ck with this dudes car. that doesn't help anyone.
rule #1 - you don't f@ck with another man's automobile

let this be a learning experience for you, and charge it to the game. although it wasn't your fault for the collision, the ensuing actions or like there of were your fault. get that shit buffed out and call it a day.

next time, handle your business immediately and do not give someone you don't know the benefit of the doubt. why you thought your insurance would cover that with no deductible on your part is beyond me. at least if you got a police report and that dumbass refused to pay when you confronted him, maybe you could've somehow got his company involved.

i don't feel sorry for you. it's over, quit your whining and keep it moving.

The same thing happened to me, but when I backed away and checked, there wasn't any damage. I freaked at first, then thought I might get a new bumper (which I kind of need). No such luck.
