IMO it looks great with a Hard top or with Conv top DOWN. I've been waiting for the warm weather to do it to my Spa. Do a search in this forum or one of the other ones and you can find a DIY.

tape removed looks better with color matched hardtop on.

everything else looks better with the black tape left on.

If you have an OEM HT or just the soft top, leave it on. If you have Mugen, Amuse, or Mooncraft peel it. The black surronding the window on the OEM HT goes well with the windshield tape that's why I say leave it.
