I have 5% on my side and rear windows, and 50% on the winshield. the sides are dark, its hard to see your mirrors at night, but i like the way it looks so...

here it is at a carshow, theres a white piece of paper on the dash.

from behind

top down at night in the car wash

btw the windshield is perfect, its fine at night and you cant see me in direct sunlight

yea.. Thanks for the pictures everyone, I'm going to get it done fairly soon.

gerdaland and kev your cars look great with the tint.

as far as some people saying it's Illegal. I've lived in NY and now FL with the same tint for a few years now.. hasn't been a problem yet.

definitely illegal in NY, don't know about Florida. Hell almost any tint on front side windows is illegal in NY.

Illegal or not, it can save you. Back in the day I had a lowered dodge truck and we were rolling up the highway to a show. A semi-truck tire blew and flew into my windshield, the only thing that stopped the tire from coming in was the tint, since then I always run it on the windshield.

I would look at something like 80% on the windshield because at night going too dark makes it hard to see.
im sorry but in going to have to disagree...
glass from factory comes in two types, tempered and laminated. All current cars have their windshields laminated for safety, that is why its so hard to break a windshield. You're door glass usually comes tempered. this makes the glass more easy to break... and when it does break it breaks in to small little round pieces.

You know... I was thinking about tinting my windows. But then I thought... I bought a convertible because I love driving top down in the SUN. Why would I spend several hundred dollars on something to BLOCK the SUN??

Get a bottle of SPF30. It's only $4-6 and won't get you pulled over as much.

Tint will help reflect some of the heat and UV rays keeping your interior cooler and protect it from fading.

i was at a tint shop and i wanted to get front tint, the guy at the shop said it was a moving violation(im in CA), im just going to get a small 5% bar because if i just get a black strip i think it will cut down on visibility too much.

also, fl they dont care. at night behind/beside me all i see is the lights cant see the cars but u get used to it. the front cuts down on all the glare from bright lights.. i love the front.

i just dont like people looking in my car.. the way it is now i ride around top up windows up and people cant see you if they tried.

i had a pic i cant find. it was noon and top up/windows up and friend took a pic w/ me inside and all u could see was my knuckles on the wheel.
