I like a targa top idea, but kinda feel like this is top down with a blind spot. If you go through with it though, it will be cool just for how unique it is.

Well to start IMHO the Spoon top doesn't look good on too many S2k's. With that said it won't look much better with the top cut out of it.
Why I'd want a targa top on my convertible just doesn't make much sense to me. If you live in climates where a convertible is common instant rain stroms aren't a problem. If you do live in places where rain is an issue plan ahead.
I wonder if people with covertible Porsche's think about having a targa top on their convertible?
God forbid you actually got wet with the top down.
Some people want it all I guess.

interesting, maybe i'll try it with a mugen rep top. i have the same dilemma as you and like top down the most. I'm also claustrophobic haha

I wish you could keep the tonneau cover like the CR has, without having to delete the soft top. It would be nice for really nice days.

If you got caught top down in rain you'd pull over and put the targa or two pieces back in...then drive away
Just like C6 guys or supra guys or ... Old firebird/camero guys with t-tops
