Default Aftermarket shift boot problems

I'm having issues with my Redline shift boot ordered through Moddiction: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/seller-feedback-217/redline-goods-moddiction-1169755/#post24166062

Who here has installed an aftermarket shift boot? It's fairly clear that the hole placement is incorrect on the Redline/Moddiction boot correct? The OEM Honda boot does not have holes drilled right on the stitching. Redline is claiming all boots they sell through Moddiction are drilled the same way and this isn't a flaw.

I installed one a while back without any problems. Everything lined up perfectly. What problem are you having exactly? FYI mine is a 2005 AP2.

Boot holes don't line up with the holes on the OEM boot or the pins in the OEM trim. Can't be mounted without drilling new holes. 2007 AP2

I am currently having a similar issue with a Guardian Design shift boot but mine had no holes and will never line up.

I also have a Redline shift boot on a 2005 AP2, holes also lined up.

This is what I don't get. Plenty of people with AP2 have these boots and install them with no issues. Company insists my car is different when all AP2s boots are the same.

Can you post pics? That would help clarify things ...

if I remember correctly, there was the bezel that snapped in the shift boot in place. On my 2005, the holes lined up only one way, but you just had to line it up correctly. There seemed to be a front and back orientation to the boot.

perhaps the 2005 AP2 guys lucked out?

Forgot which side is the back/front but here are the pictures I originally took:
4 hole side (think this is the rear). Directly opposite of the only 3 hole side. The 4 holes on the Redline boot line up fairly well, but the holes on the adjacent panels start right on the stitching which obliviously won't line up with the OEM bezel.

3 hole side. I think the issues here are pretty clear, but Redline still wants me to send them the OEM boot to verify. Holes on main panel are off center, and the ones on the adjacent panel are too close to the stitching.

Redline boot mounted in a 2005 AP2 with no issues, all holes aligned as expected.
