Default How to Adjust Hardtop?

My hardtop is leaking bad when I wash the car. There is also a lot of wind noise coming from the side as well.

I greased my seals with

but i think that made it worst LOL

Is there a guide on how to adjust the top?
The one from Honda isn't very helpful.

When I purchased the top, it came with these locks instead of traditional striker/catcher

Lol, You should get OEM strikers/catchers. Problem solved!

unbolt the front from the top, loosen the latches in the rear and 3 bolts on the rear latches just enough to allow front and back movement, push from the back of the hardtop on each side till you get the front lined up/flush at the front. Once lined up, tighten the rear bolts back into place and latch it down after the bolts are tight. This step is important because you want the seal to get tighter as you latch it down so if the bolts are tighten b4 the latches you will accomplish it.
The front will then need to be bolted down, the key is to making sure the front of the top sits just below the frame of the window, you can eyeball it pretty easily, paying attention to the corners, make sure they are even on both sides where the edge of the top meet the weatherstipping. Take it for a drive up to speed and see if you get noise, if you do you will have to repeat until you get it silent, its really just trial and error.

thanks, that make a lot of sense. Will definitely try that.

also, I am wondering if those front bolts are safer (in terms of theft) than the oem latches. My hardtop came with a special key in order to unbolt the fronts.

they also look alot similar to izzy's bracket.

I have the izzy brackets on now. I have used a pair of the oem latches, unfortunately they rattle like crazy when driven. Try the Honda shin-etsu silicone grease.
