Default Left My Windows Down All Night in the Rain

I had a major brain fart last night and left both of my windows down and it ended up monsooning all night. Basically I stopped by my house to grab a few things before I was headed out, so I just left my windows down, but then my plans got cancelled and I forgot that I left my car out. It ended up raining very hard pretty much all night. Everything still works but the whole inside was soaked and there was about 1/2" water under the seats. I dried most of it up with towels and blasted heat for 30-45 mins. Should I be worried about any damage like mold, mildew, or problems with the electronics? I am also worried about the seats being ruined because they absorbed a lot of water and are nearly impossible to dry all the way out. Has anyone else on here left their top/windows down during the rain and have any tips for how to dry the interior out?

The flux capacitor may have gotten water in it, should def. check that.

On a non serious note, what do you think would happen if you left your bedroom window open and it rained? Things get wet! Gasp! The shock! What happens when things get wet? Mold! Stench! The shock! The gasp! What happens when electrics get wet? Things stop working and need to be dried out, the shock!

What happens when you knock your head? Some sense might get put in it.

So first thing, knock your head on something then report back...

Great answer jackass. If you have nothing helpful to say, why don't you hit the back button and post elsewhere instead of writing this useless junk?

I was just posting to see if anyone had any tips to dry out the interior so I wouldn't get any mold or nasty smells, not looking for your smartass answer.

Has not happened to me but I would assume letting it air dry or sun soak with top down would help.

Okay, sorry.

Step 1. Open windows (but they're already open so you can skip this step)
Step 2. Open roof.
Step 3. Let it dry out or use a water vacuum.
Step 4. Sprinkle some carpet deodorizer down.
Step 5. Sit back and let it dry.
Step 6. Watch the weather report.

I saw somewhere that if you close the windows/top and put the air conditioning/heat on full it will dehumidify the car. Just make sure to use a shamwow to get the majority of the water out first. Ur not the first person on here that this has happened to goodluck

I put the top up and let everything fog up in the sun. Wipe it clean off the windows and interior and keep repeating TIL its clean

Just for future reference...I have done this a few times before and the best solution is get out any puddled water, then close it up, turn the heat on high and let it run. It'll dry it in a little while (30 minutes) and no worries about musky smell or mold.

That's pretty much what I did and it seemed to do the trick. It's been a couple weeks now and everything seems fine no smell or mold

Thanks everyone for the tips.
