Default Radio Control's

I've searched and searched and can't find anything. So i wanna hear some ideas. I bought my car with an after-market head unit, which means my factory dash switches can't control my after-market head unit. I've found this website
http://www.modifry.com/products/dci/index.htm that has a solution to make the control's work. To tell you the truth though i'd rather make a gauge bezel or something to make this worthless piece something useful. Does anyone know if a piece has been designed or do you have any other ideas?

I have the modifry harness so my aftermarket headunit works. I just got it since I like using my controls, if not then do something custom with it. Some people have put a flat peice of carbon in it and made custom switches/buttons, gauge pods, ect.. I've also seen people just cut out the big circle mode button right there and mount a gauge in there like a wideband. Pretty cool but to do that you have to tear the back of the controls off and they will never be functional or light up again unless you got a whole new control. Your start button will of course still work though.

I've only seen custom work. Nothing off-the-shelf.

Don't confuse your preference with "the truth". I use my dash controls all the time with my aftermarket head unit. Keeps me from having to take my hands and eyes from what they should be doing.

2x on modifry harness. Does it's job, easier than pressing buttons on a head unit.

Just to clarify the DCI does the interfacing between the dash controls and head unit. The harness is just a bunch of wires and connectors. Not sure why people keep referring to the DCI as a harness. You need both.
