Bought my car used. The dealer (nissan) obviously didn't know about the secret compartment - found the previous owners tax forms, pay stubs, payment books, and various other notes. Kinda makes me think the car was repo-d.

When I picked up my S from my friends' mother (whom I bought it from) I opened the "secret compartment" in front of her, and she was like "WHOA!...I had no idea that was there!"

my dealer pointed out the compartment. He also showed me how to take out the spare etc., show me the tools, the tow hook. Also showed me where the dipstick was, after making me look for it while standing next to me laughing for like 6 minutes....also told me about www.s2ki.com

BEST STORY YET: I heard a rumor about the secret compartment about a month after buying it but it was in storage so I wasn't able to check it out immediatly. I called Honda Customer Service to confirm a "second" door above the main glove box between the seats. The guy sounded like I was speaking a different language - he had no idea what I was talking about. I mentioned that it was the piece upon which the aero deflector was mounted on - still nothing. Honda customer service does not even know about this compartment!

Don't tell Honda customer service, then everyone will know and it will no longer be a secret.

Can't find the Dipstick, that reminds me of this story.

THE OIL SHORTAGE

I found this quite amusing ! ! !

A lot of folks can't understand how we came to have an oil shortage here in America.

~~~
Well, there's a very simple answer.
~~~

Nobody bothered to check the oil.

~~~
We just didn't know we were getting low.
~~~

The reason for that is purely geographical.

~~~
Our OIL is located in
~~~

Alaska

~~~
California
~~~

Oklahoma

and

TEXAS

~~~
~~~

~~~
Our
DIPSTICKS
are located in
Washington DC
