Yes, that is the so-called secret compartment.

how do u reset the maint icon that comes up
That information is in the owner's manual. You press and hold one or both of the buttons (can't remember which right now) for the trip odometer while you put the key from the off to the on position. Hold for 10 seconds.

BTW, the moderators added this thread to the FAQ thread in this forum. There are lots of questions answered there!

Sometime check out the super secret compartment behind the trunk liner to the left of the spare tire....there's lots of room in there for stuff.

I bought my S2K used from a Honda Dealership. After signing up I asked them where the CD player is. Two of them crawled over the car for about 10 minutes and couldn't find it. They decided it didn't have one!! After about 45 minutes of looking at home I found the SC with the Honda stacker!! These are the same guys that had my tyer pressure set to 21lbs all round

My salesman showed me the compartment when I asked about the radio's code. It is on a sticker in that compartment....but he never told me where the gas cap release was and he sure as hell never told me about the 1/2 grind when cold!! But I love the car....I just hate car salepeople.

yeah... the car poppin' you out of gear when cold is another one that scared the crap out of me!

As for the 45 minute search... only to come up with the stacker in the long run... good score!

Wow, been driving the car regularly for over 5 months now, and cleaning the thing for a little under a year, and Just found the compartment tonight. I had always thought there was something funny about the little piece of plastic that the wind deflector sat on. (can you bend the deflector down without breaking it off? I am having one hell of a time trying to clean the back window. : / )
