this thread gave me hope id finally find my owners manual etc... found the compartment... but nothing in it except the rubber thing on the bottom

It's just a small rubber mat that lines the bottom of the compartment. At least that's what it feels like. It's kind of a pain to get your head in a position to look down in the thing, especially if the top's up.
