If it wasn't for the Atlanta club inviting me to a club drive who knows how long it would of been before I found the secret compartment. It took 2 months before it was found. But even after it was found I never knew that it was the secret compartment everyone was talking about. I kept thinking the secret compartment was under the armrest(center piece) where it snaps off and you can stash some stuff in there.

It seems as though there are quite a few strange things about our cars. That make it different then the rest. I think Honda Motor Co. was pretty ecstatic about the s2000 that they added these extra things.

1. Push Start Button
2. Secret Compartment
3. Gas Door opener
4. Hidden Radio Door Cover
5. Top goes down with both Windows at the same time. To bad they don't go up all together.
6. Outside Radio Control Buttons

BTW... Great thread.

You see... they had shown me absolutely NOTHING about the car... this women who sold it to me- was the classical/stereotypical: "I sell cars 'cause I'm pretty" saleswomen...

At my first visit to the gas station... it took me about 20 minutes to find the damn release...

....but then again, I like to do things the hard way! (No Manuals allowed! )

I didnt know we had one, until I saw a pic of someone's custom CD changer mounted in there... I surf the forum pretty frequently, so it only took me a week or two after I got my car.... if it wasnt for that picture, though... I would feel like an idiot after reading this thread

YES!! LOL!! That EXACT same thing happened to ME as well!!

At the first place I went... this very suave machismo salesman... approaches me with his old spice swagger... and takes me out to show the car...

He spends about 20 minutes trying to get it started... and finally had to go pull a manager! He started making all of these lame ass excuses, like: "I knew the button was there, but typically when you turn the key... it turns on more so that you know its working..." and "I just got back from Amsterdam and I'm a little jet-lagged..."

(AND THIS WAS A FULL BLOWN HONDA DEALERSHIP!!)

OMG!!! The exact same thing happened to me!!! I just bought the car alright, and it was the end of the day and the dealership didn't have any premium pump or some shit i dont know what their excuse was for not being able to fill it up, (they did the next week but beyond the point) So while driving home the gas light comes up, so i pull up for my first fill up and get out, expecting to ruteinly open it up and fill the gas tank. but wait, wtf, no little finger groove to get it, push release? nope pushing doesnt do it, HOW THE HELL DO I FILL THIS THING UP??? trunk release? nope, open the hood, look all over, finally after like 30 minutes i notice this little microscopic pull tab that opens my gas tank, man did i look like an asshole, beautiful spa s2000 but the dumbass owner cant figure out how to open the gas tank

I was there for the PDI of my car when it got to the dealer, and the first thing I did when I sat in the car was try the radio, and "CODE" appears on the screen. The tech reaches into the center and opens the SC to get the code out. At that point, it was no longer secret.

Damn I am clueless just like many of you. Knew about the starter button and was able to get the car started. But couldn't reverse to pull the car out for a test drive. I girlfriend was with me on the passenger side, looking at me like a fool for not abling to reverse.

Oh, had the car for 2 months now, never knew of such secret compartment. Just read this thread yesterday, went home and looked into the manual. I am sure I wouldn't have found this out by myself.

Thanks
