I was one of those that found it in the showroom, but I can't be too cocky, 'cause on the test drive (They let me take it out with my wife for a couple of hours) I couldn't figure out how to get the car into reverse.
hahaha...same thing happened to me, I was test driving my S with the guy that owned it before me (thanx rolomatsu ...she's doin great) and I was trying to get out of the parking space...kept hitting 6th and creeping further and further forward...then I said it and went straight (cause I could)...I just took forever to learn..push down...THEN move over...errg

I found it after about a month. I was spending a little too much time at S2KI at work as always, and ran into a post of someone's pics of their car. I was like wtf?!? I immediately got up and went out to my car to see if this mysterious crater truely existed. IT DID! it was amazing!!!

Thanks! I've only had the car a week, but I didn't know it was there.

As an interesting side note, i kept everything from the dealer (window sticker, pdi tags, other keys besides the main one in the plastic bags, etc). Along with my stuff the salesman gave me a black carpet pad, but he didn't know where it could possibly go I took it anyhow...glad I did now as it goes in the secret compartment!

WHAT? There's a plastic pad that goes in there? Maybe every other dealer just throws it out?

Mine is just plastic, no pad.
