Hello, does anyone know what that black circle thing behind the clutch pedal is (what is it attached to)? I didn't really notice it until now. It seems to be out of alignment with the the "wall" and it is soft and "melty" (my finger gets all black when I touch it). It also has that wear mark because that's where the pedal arm touches whenever I depress it all the way. If anyone can shed some light on this for me, that would be great. Thanks!

I think it's just the foam/sound deadening from the firewall if we are on the same page?
