OK this has been too inactive for too long.

Skip and I decided to bring it back to the top of the pile, well not really, I just decided...

Maybe there would be more action if y'all didn't ignore the non-local fans of Upstate NY.

I welcome all non-local Upstate NY fans!

How do we get our own regional community on this board?

I agree with Eric as I, too, welcome all fans. We should probably talk about what it is that we'd like this "Upstate NY S2000 Club" to do for us. Are we going to leave it to the occasional exchange of e-mails? get togethers? Planned outings... ? I'm in favor of any and all of the above, so I'm obviously of no help deciding on a direction for the group, but some of you may have specific goals in mind. Do you????

On a different yet related topic, what's happened to Jimmy??? Jimmy, are your exams so difficult that you've overlooked the prime objective: sending e-mails to fellow S2000 enthusiasts?!? It's much more laid back over here on the West and South Hills than it is on East Hill, I guess.

paS2K - yo, take a chill pill...

We welcome enthusiasts with open arms, even if you don't have the fortune to live in Upstate New York! Everyone I have spoken to in the area has been receptive to taking in people from a variety of areas. We are all so spread out here we need to stick together, which I think is what we are trying to accomplish. Find out who is in the area and discover a good way of communicating back and forth and then as things come up we can get together.

From the thread on the Vintage S models ReedZ has already come up with a potential idea, , check it out:

As far as our goal or objective or mission statement, I would say at this point if we could establish a regional forum section then as a group we could begin to develop a plan. I will see what I can do about establishing a regional area in the forum and get back to you all.

I sent a formalized proposal to s2ki today.
As soon as I get some type of response I will post the outcome here, so keep watching and those of you in the area, now would be a great time to jump in on the thread, if only to say hello.

paS2K - Honeoye Falls is about 20 miles south of Rochester, Beaver Dam is about half way between Corning and Watkins Glen. You are about 340 miles/5.5 hours from me and 260 miles/4.5 hours from Eric N. You are about 100 miles/1.75 hours from NYC Metro Region based upon what mapquest.com gave me.

Jimmy - you out there?
Skip and I have been contemplating maybe the German car fans have carried you away.

Hope all is well at school!

Triple H,

Yeah, hehe, I got in touch with Skip today. I'm still here, just really really busy this week and the past week with a lot of school stuff.

Did you happen to get a response from the board monitor about adding Upstate New York?

Btw, what do you think about the M3 Coupe? I think it's so sweet, but with that price you can almost buy 2 S2000....

Jimmy
