What's the deal with this? They have different part numbers.
Does anyone know if anything actually changed? Looking to replace my 2005 door linings and they are discontinued.

2004 - 2005: 83580-S2A-A61ZB
2006 - 2009: 83580-S2A-A63ZB

Good question. Combed through my reference pics of each year's interior (yes, I have reference pics lol) and there's no obvious difference cosmetically. Even the padded leather inserts *look* the same, though I only have a true close-up image of an '06-'07. The door nets and tweeter housings appear to be identical. (Of course if you're replacing both panels, then cosmetic details won't matter to you.)

If there are any non-cosmetic differences, I'm guessing they'd be on the inner side of the panels, probably to accommodate revisions to the wiring harnesses when drive-by-wire/VSA was introduced. But the only wiring that's actually integrated into the panels is for the door locks and windows, and those should (presumably?) be the same, i.e. same connectors/pins, etc.

I'm sure someone here has done an interior swap and might be able to say for sure whether there's anything about the '06-'09 panels that's not plug-and-play.

Thank you. I know they appear identical on the outside, been comparing via google images lol. Just hoping the tabs arent moved or anything. I doubt it though.

The S2000 shop was saying the inserts were different but I think they just confused my question with AP2 vs AP1 door linings, plus their english isnt the best as theyre in Japan. Most things I find online mention AP2 inserts in general, not AP2v1 and AP2v2.

I pulled the trigger from Majestic. I'll update here when I get them. Hoping it's an easy swap without any modifications.
