2008 - soft top question

So it doesn't appear to be the soft top frame bar, rather the one that hinges is rough and it rests on the top while it's down. Looks like I'm going to have a go at it with the dremel to smooth the hinge down and find a way to plug that hole as well.

What idiot at Honda thought it was good to leave a bar rough as hell?

Well after filing down the burrs on that hinge that rests on the inside of the soft top while it's folded down I've put the top down a few times and haven't seen the sun coming through the patch yet. To really get to it I'll have to file it more whenever I replace the top.

MY07 top did the same thing, I ended up buying a Robbins top. I am replacing it this weekend actually. The holes will only get worse and new ones will form from wear. I've got about 6+ tears forming at the moment.


EDIT: I hear the quality is far superior to OEM and it is vinyl (same as OEM)
