you can expect to build a reliable 500whp on 93octane S2000 with about $10k in mods. (inlinepro 35r bb, clutch, aem ems, tuning, clutch, rear diff) assuming you do the install yourself.

I dont know about you but that isnt cheap to me. The guys which did the 2jz swap charged $16k or more, and i think they only built one which wasnt junk.

Wait you did actually read what they posted on that site right? Its 875 Hp at the crank ON RACE FUEL.

On pump gas it can only do 570hp. you might as well turbo the S2k motor

there is alot of custom fab work to be done. and i flip when i see the rear in the Supra lift and its a hog a cringe to think what the rear of the s2000 would do

but by all means if you do it, let us know and post VIDEOS!!!

Inlinepro has done this with an S2000 (no engine swap):

Don't know any details (race fuel etc) but big numbers are certainly possible without changing the engine. Ya@inlinepro will help you if you do a bit of research and are serious, but do some searches--we've got lots of info on the site about turbo systems and what breaks when. (You'll need a differential.) One of the biggest problems is getting the power to the ground. And of course, it's out of character for the car to be built into a drag strip vehicle--it's a track car, not a terminator.

A bit OT, I haven't ever heard of meth injection on an S2000. Has anyone done that successfully?

Why the hell would you buy such an expensive car, to just be using the shell? Buy a 240 or an older supra shell and do whatever you want with it.

This car is not for you, its really expensive to just get a little bit of power out of this, and this car is not made to drag race. Threads like this piss me off

50/50 Racing's famed 2JZ swap
For the mere $16000, you too can get the fine level of quality and craftsmanship shown here on Youtube.

Here's one of the several threads about the miserable experiences:
https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...ic=477459&st=0 (Scroll down a bit to see the problem)

and more recently:

So aside from the fact that the S2000 is from the factory a track car and not a drag car, that 50/50 fiasco is why this thread is getting and will continue to get negative attention. Don't take it personally--some members here were ROYALLY screwed by 50/50 racing getting a 2JZ installed, so a lot of people are still pissed. I would be very bitter if I or a personal friend had to go through that.

On the plus side, this one seems to have went/ended up ok (only quickly grabbed the thread--i havent read it):

If I were going to go for the huge HP, I'd still go turbo and stick with the F20C/F22C.
