Seriously? Ragging on a guy for putting a different engine in a car?

IT'S A CAR not a god, not a legend, not something to worship it's a friggin car, metal, rubber, plastic. If a guy want to put a electric engine in it WHO cares??? He's asking for advice on how to do it NOT WHY!...

IT'S HIS CAR NOT YOURS! and there is nothing wrong with turning an s2000 or for that matter any other car into a drag car, a race, a show car, a monster truck , a lawnmower! someone may think your a jackass for putting aftermarket crap on your car why not keep it original?? WHO CARES ITS A CAR!

Damn flaming pisses me off....

Well, b/c I looked into buying the 92 Mk3 Supra, and I can get one for say 4 grand, good condish. But it's an old car. I'd have to tears it down and repaint/restich everything to get what I'm looking for. To me, the s2k is hottttt and a good condish supra w/ a 2jzgte is so much damn money, and I'd have to do work on those too.

A 92 Supra is the older body style and will come with the 7m motor, and not the 2JZ-GTE motor. A clean Supra will set you back atleast $30k cash. You can not finance them because most banks won't finance cars older than 10 years old.

To the OP- The s2k doesn't sound like a car for you, since you just want to go fast in a straight line. Maybe you should think about getting something that is already fast in a straight line. The s2k is a drivers car for the corners. Just my $.02

A 2JZ S2000 can be done, has been done, and it's an beast that has some trade-offs. Chief among them: First, it costs a lot of money to do correctly, and second, it seems to sacrifice some of the handling/nimbleness that most of us originally purchased the S2000 for. But it does keep the styling, and it sure does have the power.

Another good option for you to look at would be an LS1-swapped RX-7. Also, at least one LSX-swap (I think LS1, but maybe a different model) is in the works. You may want to search for it and see how that went if power is what you really are after.

It sounds like the idea of a supra engine is part of it though--it sounds like you want a supra largely for the engine, want the styling of the S2000, and so you're figuring "Why not get the best of both worlds?"

Is that right, or what is your goal? Do you have a power or performance goal to reach with the car, or do you really have a more emotional accomplishment--power of a 2JZ, style of an S2000--in mind as the swap's purpose?

People use to flame people that dropped LS motors into evos.

People use to flame people that dropped rb26's into 240s, yes my older brother still remembers...

and with that being said one day the s2000 will not be flamed as much when the economy rises and more people acquire knowledge, money, and time to do this swap...

cause at the end of the day.. who the **** cares what people do with their car, let them do it, whether they blow something, break something, there is no you should or shouldnt do something to your car.. because kids that run around with ricer hondas that dont move for shit at the end of the day they are happy, and they live with it just as good as the guys with the 900 hp monsters.

Do whatever you want, because regardless its gonna be your car and your responsibility.

Remember.. there are janitors, teachers, secretarys and principals... at the end of the day they are all THE SAME people that made different decisions..

Cars are all built the same, but people change them with different decisions, so dont flame the janitor cause he cleans now, or the teacher cause they teach, or the secretary cause they file, or the principal cause he makes harsh rules.. just accept it cause thats all you can do, or flame and waste your time!

So... for "The people", there will always be ones who disagree with certain things even that might not pertain to s2000's whether its for poor handling or poor performance. But they dont pay for your shit so **** em! ===>Let them have an opinion when they send you a check!!! Seriously! If you want to do it, do it. Then when you mess up, fix it or move on to something else. Thats this short life were in. Enjoy it!

I feel like i can add to this just because i have both cars. You are making a big mistake thinking any supra parts/setups are gona easy and cheap. Finding the parts will be hard enough, finding good cheap parts that will net you 850hp . . .ha
If you cant afford the supra then you definatly can not afford to buy an S2k and do a custom swap.
