80 dollar EBAY header installed
ive got the same header. same imperfections, same everything. only thing i didnt like to much about it. seems to rust fast and looks like like garbage now(ive had it on for 2 years on my DD).
But overall i give it a great rating for cheap and functional! it was my first modification to my car and is still together and working fine. But personally, when i first put it on with an all stock car, didnt notice anything but noise, then i went TP with catback...and the 3 really helped with a lil power gain
oh cant for get my AEM intake..lol

Well its true! Take damn near any header and pair it with a 70mm TP and see if your gains are not similar and if not they will be very negligable... Just irritates the hell out of me that some people just rub cocks with moderators or admins and then by magic their product makes fairytale numbers.
Take a normalized dyno plot with a true scientific study and then compare. What I mean is the same car with the same temps and same everything with the same rpm comparison, same humidity, same ambients and same IATs. Dont change shit on churches little ferris wheel because we all know that his numbers read sky high. Then run the exact same parameters with solid reproducability and IF the gains are then present under normalized conditions then I will believe it.
I can add a TP to the OEM header and produce gains as well...

If it does surface rust to the point of no going back ill just wrap it and see how long it lasts...
For now it looks pretty and is light weight compared to the OEM so i am pretty happy with it for what it cost me.
Well i finally got her all installed the other day just thought i would share some photos and information.

The welds arent to bad, not the best ive seen but for this price... i am NOT complaining.

The install went very well, took me about 30 minutes (To put in) with the help of my brother. I had taken the OEM part off a few days before, took about an hour (damn 02 sensor is hard to get at). So I put the header up threw the bottom of the car while he set it in place and threw the nuts on. After tightening everything up top i got it hooked up to my Invidia 70mm test pipe. The header came with 2 nuts and two bolts to do this but i decided to use the factory spring bolts. BTW i have a 3" single Megan Racing exhaust (Loud) So after double checking the conections i started her up and checked for any leaks (didn't find any). Unfortunatley i am having new tires mounted on my wheels so i couldnt take her for a quick drive... plus i live in NY and its pretty crappy out. Overall the install was very simple everything lined up wonderfully. The part that took we the longest was getting the 02 sensor off and back on.
Here are a few more pictures...
I cleaned up the header with some 409 and steel wool before starting it to make sure it was clean.

finally someone said something about hytech... i thought i was the only one who realized it but i guess not.

And then we get threads like this and all the PLM fanbois.
Giving a header a good review because it's better than what's expected isn't a fair review. That only qualifies for a 2 of 4, maximum. The welds on this header are shit. The junctions are shit. Your butt dyno is absolutely inaccurate, so there's no proven benefit aside from a few lbs of weight savings, which is probably easier to do by skipping McDonalds this week. Building a header for the S is notoriously difficult to plan out. It's not uncommon to lose power over the OEM header due to poor design. Bottom line is the only thing that can be said about this header is that it's cheap. And at that price, the question becomes "what corners were cut, besides the obvious shitty welding"?
And, finally, the S has A HEADER, not headers. There's only one. My truck, on the other hand, has a pair of headers.
