Yeah an ebay header is pretty much a hit or miss, depending on where you get it. Some of them will crack over a little time, some will last for a very long time with no problems. Also they aren't all identical because the primaries, secondaries, and the collector might not all be the same between them all. My JVT has good specs for a cheap header and has lasted over 15k miles of abuse and daily driving. I bought it used with 5k miles on it, and i've put 10k on it so far with no problems at all.

Yes I have even seen that dyno sheet a while back and a guy gained 4whp with the JVT, I wish I could find it again. Also you can't expect to just bolt a header on and gain a bunch of power, some might even loose a little power depending on their current mods and such without a tune. To get the best power out of your mods you will want a tune, and an EMS would do wonders for complete bolt ons. Don't even bother with a VAFC and such because they can only really subract fuel, not add it and that's the opposite you want if you have a bunch of bolt ons.

Header wrap adds power by keeping the heat inside the primary tubes therefore increasing exhaust velocity. But yes it will eventually destroy the header, you will usually get a few years out of it.

That may be true, but it's not even going to be noticable on our S so there is no point in destroying a header for something you won't even notice.

Certain Batches of the JVT header and Ebay DTP/DNA header were from the same manufacturer in china. Sometimes the product line changes suppliers but often its from the same mass quantity buy in from certain vendors, I know because my overseas broker offered the exact same header to me in a large order only buy in. If you compare the two side by side you will notice the same header.

Interesting. So you say only the DTP/DNA header and the JVT are from the same manufacurer? Or pretty much all of the s2000 Ebay headers?

I've just ordered a JVT header from Ebay for $100 bux I will post up my 'butt dyno' results in the coming weeks! I would love to do a dyno before after but dont have access to one near by and the dyno runs will prboably cost more than the actual header itself LOL

I bought an ebay header a while back. The O2 Bung was not on an angle and when installed it rubbed the frame... Has anyone had issues with these?
