AEM V2 review..
i ordered my AEM V2 intake on last thursday and received it yesterday (thursday) and put it on..
i was not pleased with the quality of the product as a few of the included materials were defective including the intake pipe itself..

i would advise anyone considering a cai to really be careful at what product you choose.. i wanted a v2 since october before i bought my K&N FiPK.. and the FiPK was in perfect condition and didn't give me half the headache that this product did.. trying to get things that were broken to work since i could not afford to wait another 7 days for a refund/replacement or longer since i would have to send them back and blah blah blah..
i sent aem a very long email earlier after i finished putting my car back together.. and im hoping that i get a positive response from them and they offer me something to justify why chose their busted product over a perfectly working K&N intake system.. that i would probably put back on the car if had not promised it to a local s2000 owner..
it's pretty pathetic that i had to modify a modified part to make it fit my car the way it should and i have never been more disappointed with the quality of such a highly spoken of companies product..
when i received the box off of the UPS truck it was already opened.. and the intake mount bolt broke with very little effort while trying to put it on the car.. i dont even understand how it was supposed to hold the pipe onto the car if it couldn't stand being bolted down..
and then the pipe itself.. i have no clue how it got so badly bent but yet had not one single scratch.. just my luck i would get the crappy intake that should not have been sold in the first place..
i am not happy with AEM at all right now.. wish i could go back and get the fujita F5..

That might have been true of the piping but I'm not sure the same can be said about the peice that was supposed to be bolted down and broke. That is obviously a manufacturing defect. The bent piping I would say is a shipping problem though....

just got word back from AEM and they will be sending me replacement parts for the items that were damaged..
they assured me that all parts that leave from their facilities are inspected and that it had to be damaged during shipping.. (go figure free shipping)
anyways.. they're doing their best to make the situation right.. and thats all i can ask for!!
