Default AEM water temp gauge?

I've searched google and the DIY's on S2Ki, without luck.
Considering I have a AEM series 1 EMS (not even sure if that matters) how would I go about installing the AEM water temperature gauge? Would I need anything additional besides what is provided. Sorry, very nooby questions my last two cars I've had a friend with lots of experience set it up while I was at work, but he has unfortunately passed on.

to get an accurate reading of the engine emperature reading, you would probe the outlet hose of the engine (aft the thermostat).

The outlet hose and thermostat is the top radiator hose so follow that hose all the way to the engine block (the firewall next to the intake manifold under the egr valve).

That's where the hottest water comes out of the engine and thts the water temp you want to know.

Either mount sensor to the thermostat housing itself or you need a coupler that mounts on the hose itself near this location

Maybe you need to lookin to the modifry product that allows you to use the stock ect probe with the ems1
