So you are just buying the pipe itself for $120? I'd save up a few more bucks and buy a complete intake. After buying a good quality filter, couplers and clamps will add quite a bit to the cost..

Sounds like you already knew your answer before you even posted.

FWIW...Cold Air intakes are not very beneficial. Other than the sound and the fact oil changes are hell of a lot faster there's not point really. Oh and you run the chance of hydro lock.

tbh that's how much i sold mine for and it was a complete kit. i sold it b/c i found out stock box with a snorkle does better. how do i know? experience of course. moar tire chirpin and pull harder on my friend's rsx that i always use as my baseline. imo, save up and buy something else or go the cheap route that's effective which is an ebay snorkel.

LOL ... people always come out of the woodwork talking about hydrolock. Hydrolock can happen with ANY intake, if you're not careful. I hydrolocked my 100% stock '86 Honda Civic in a big rain storm, but never had any issues at all during the 75K miles I had an AEM V1 on my '02 S2000. The AEM also gives a nice boost in the midrange, especially with a tune.

^I guarantee if I had had an AEM V2 intake on my car when I lived in FL I would have hydro locked my motor a few times. With a K&N or stock intake not a chance.
That is why people bring it up because it is much more possible to happen than most other intakes. And gain are about the same.
