Definitely not fun at all, but I guess for a less OCD person it might not take that much time and not be that bad
Then we're in the same boat and my hands are gonna hurt like yours afterwards which will prevent me from wailing on my guitars and that, IS NOT a good thing

Yes gloves are recommended, it's not nice to get that itchy stuff on your skin.

Never done this before but thinking about the process, the tedious part would seem to be that you have to undo the whole roll and pull the whole thing through each time around the individual pipes. Unless you cut into 3 or 4 different sections for each runner and then a final wrap for the downpipes? There must be a proper technique for this job.

Cool

That titanium wrap is quite a bit more expensive at $30 a roll. Wonder if its more effective and durable, or just wasted money on a brand name.

I used the titanium wrap because I read that it doesnt require the additional adhesive sprays recommended for other wraps. and from what I've felt on other wraps, the dei titanium does seem easier to work with, texture wise. to me it did feel of higher quality than others.

Its lasted, not burned off so worth doing? I put about 8-10k miles a year on my S. I would hope this wrap last several years, longer the better. I will pay more money for longevity if its required. I dont want the wrap to start burning up and falling apart, blowing fiberglass all over my engine bay or its not worth the trouble.

I used that titanium volcanic wrap, think they claim it would last longer but I wasn't impressed about the durability.
It's supposed to be easier to work with though since it can be somewhat stretched.
Also don't waste your money on metal zip ties, they just suck. Get som worm clamps instead or use stainless steel wire to secure it with.

was on car for about 6-7 months before I sold WRX, and about 15-20k miles and still looked fine each oil change when I'd visually inspect everything (drive roughly 110 miles for work/school daily) And the titanium stuff doesnt really have same properties as normal fiberglass exhaust wrap. the way it feels in your hand, seems like if anything, would fray like an old worn out belt and not blow fiberglass everywhere. and like posted above, steel clamps could help. but I didnt have issues with the stainless steel zipties I used. they were tricky to install properly, but I felt like once I got them on to my liking, they were secure enough.
