Ap2 Front Bumper on Ap1

It might look OK at first, but if you don't cut the bumper beam it will eventually cause star cracks in the paint.

sorry to revive this old tread but , everybody talk about cutting the reinforced metal bracket but no body have a pic to where cut the edge ? im gonna do the ap2 conversion but i need to know where to cut it exactly , thanks

Hi all just bought this facelift bumper for my prefacelift, he said they were stress fractures of the paint which is true which then got me worried as when I get it painted I don't want the same issue. I have looked though the forum and found this, so if I chop these bits off then I won't have the same issue is that right?
Anything else I need to do for the conversion?
