Someone I talked to said that the only gears that are different are 2nd and 3rd, is that true? Can someone verify what the gear ratio is for each gear?

I am going to hopefully do just a used ap2 trans rather than rebuilding my trans... Long term how do people who have done the swap like it?
This has been done countless times and is a direct bolt up! I have it in my AP1 and its one of the best mods I have done.

Gears 1-4 are shorter and 5-6 are taller.

This means you will redline faster in 1-4 and RPMs will be lower in 5-6 gear cruising the interstate.

AP2 1 - 4 are 4% lower, 6th 2% taller.
AP1 trans has closer 4-6 ratios.
Which ratios are "better" will depend on specific application/usage.
